9. How to adjust your group settings on LinkedIn
After you create a group, you can adjust the settings, permissions and more.
1) Go to groups.
2) Select your group.
3) Click manage.
Scroll down to settings.
4) Click group settings.
If your group is members-only, this message and button will show up giving you the option to switch your group to open.
5) Click this button to learn about open groups.
This table lists the differences between open and members-only groups.
6) If you decide switching to an open group is for you, click this button to continue.
Once you switch to an open group, you cannot go back to members-only, so make sure you really want to do this.
7) Click switch to open group if you want to proceed.
That's it! Your group is now open and you can optionally send an announcement to let your group know about the switch.
8) Return to group settings.
9) Enable or disable the discussions and news, promotions, or jobs features.
10) Adjust the permissions and restrictions for group members and non-members.
11) Choose how users can join your group.
If you don't want to approve each member individually, set this option to auto-join. Otherwise, leave it set to request to join.
12) Click save changes.
That's it! This is the end of the tutorial. Now you know how to adjust your group's settings on LinkedIn.
